Big News

Benny has started rolling over already! Woohoo!!! Go Benny. He is only 3 months old! I have been waiting for Isaiah to do this and it just hasn't happened yet.

While Isaiah hasn't rolled himself over, he did get the thumbs up from the pediatrician to start solids. She believes his drooling is due to teething and his temperamental eating is because he is ready for something new. Because he is able to sit up assisted, has good head control, and can grab and manipulate things with his hands, he has reached some developmental milestones that are a sign to start solids. She does not believe that he needs to wait until 6 months. I'm sure you can imagine I was surprised, especially since he is a preemie. His first meal was butternut squash. The next day he had apples and then carrots. We have been rotating the 3 with various combinations...sometimes with rice, sometimes mixed together. He loves apples! I think the squash gives him a tummy ache, but no major problems. Today I'm heading to the store to get his next new tastes...bananas, avocados, and pears! Yummy!
